It’s almost Memorial Day Weekend, where did May go?

Well here we are and it’s May.  Where, I ask myself, does that land me emotionally, mentally and (let’s face it) physically speaking?  There is only one word to describe it, LAZY.  Gone are the days of my incessant ability to organize every last detail of life, never having forgotten a.thing.SERIOUSLY.

However, I we’ve really let ourselves get into an ugly, unhealthy little rut.  I say little with more emphasis than ever, mainly as motivation.  I know we can modify daily habits into long-term awesome and healthy habits.

HELLO!!!??!?  We want to try to have kids people!  There is nothing worse than sitting (as I do now) on the couch in front of an entirely too ginormous television doing absolutely nothing with our brains.  UGH, it just sounds disgusting.  Does this get me to the “babe in ute” stage of life?  Um, nooooooooo.

So here’s my 12-week plan, and being that there isn’t a definite time frame on these goals, 12 weeks may be modified as needed (negotiate and compromise, right?)

  • Work on healthier eating/drinking habits – via WW points.
  • Work on living a more active lifestyle – via fantastic weather for golfing, tennis & dog walking.
  • Work on my relationship with He who I know as my savior. – new church and self-directed bible study.
  • Work on a more faith driven relationship – see above.
  • All the while having blissful (sometimes possibly drunken) fun in ye ‘ol marriage bed! – in the hopes that we’ll have the news that we’d be expecting shortly there after.

This is certain to only lead us in a more positive direction than where we’re headed today, right?  RIGHT!

It’s almost time for a nice long holiday weekend!!!  Have a safe and happy one!

(Today, I’m 27 and 5+ months old, TTC#1 – Cycle #1 (Day 9))

It’s been a year!

So it’s almost official, “Big K & Little K” (i.e. Stephanie & John) WE have been married for almost 1 year, tomorrow is the actual day.  February 21st is a very special day for me on many levels.  But more about that at a later time.  I just wanted to post this message as a tribute to the amazing time we shared this time last year.  Our day was unforgettable and we were surrounded by everyone we love.  It was amazing, and I still think about it almost every day, here’s a glimpse of our big day…

I really felt like it!! A Sexy Little Bride that is!

Big K the Groom to Be at our Rehearsal Dinner

And so began Big K, Little K

The cake was FANTASTIC, yellow cake with lemon curd and raspberry filling!

Shortly after this picture was taken I had cake up my nose in my eyebrows and hair... thanks Big K, I love you too!

We traveled to Oahu, Hawaii for 10 days in the sun, sand and WIND.  It was a fantastic way to start our new life together!

Enjoying a MaiTai at the Hale Koa on Waikiki Beach

I love me some MaiTai!

Lanikai Beach was our absolute favorite!

USS Arizona Memorial, I love this picture. You can tell how windy it was!

I thought this was so pretty, it's a baby pineapple, we saw while we were visiting the Dole Plantation.

Happy Honeymoon from Honu Beach!

I hope that everyone has a fantastic weekend, I know we will!!

What I love…

A few of my favorite things, not sure if it will give you any insight to my little world, but for what it’s worth,
here they are:

My Nephew - Isn't that just the sweetest smile you've ever seen? Makes my ute ache just looking at him, wait, do they have Benadryl for the baby itch?

My little (fat) doxie, Jinx, and Ed's English Bully, Birdie.

Hands down the absolute best paper craft store on the planet. I love to scrapbook and make cards, this place is my heaven!

I am a big nerd most of the time, not highly athletic, but totally creative.  See…

A diaper cake I made for a co-worker's baby shower.

I love golfing, jogging (if I’m in the mood, anyone want to train for a 1/2 with me?)

and baking, see here…

My made from scratch Challah (egg) bread. Yummo!

But most of all I love my family, being around them, talking to those far away and day dreaming about the time (hopefully soon) when John and I will have one of our own!
